Chapter 3
As their discussions continued it became more and more clear to Atomic Adam that he could indeed work along side Ambassador Serina and Commander Kael, though he was still unsure whether he would be working with these particular individuals if he accepted their help.
Kavian was unstable enough that it didn’t really matter, the only thing that mattered at that moment was restoring a sense of order among the general populous. Chaos reigned in the streets, the clamorous bustle from down below was constant, Atomic knew these first days were crucial, he knew that he would not be able bring about the changes needed by himself. He also knew that this mysterious organization had resources, which he may come to need. Commander Kael was speaking of military influence and the effects of ‘a show of force’ ”You do not seem to relish the idea Mr. Adam?” Ambassador Serina looked at him with an aura of understanding, a soft unspoken agreement. Something about her struck at him as familiar, though he was unable to place exactly what at the time. ”I am not one for talks of war when peace is at hand” Atomic shifted so his body more directly faced Amb. Serina, disengaging from Kael.
”My approach leads along a route that does not require the intervention of any entity or body that makes use of militant tactics, it lays a much sturdier foundation for lasting peace and a sustainable outcome. The methods I employ, and would see those I work with employ, have been crafted over numerous encounters across most of the Federation, with you and your organization's help, those methods could shape civilizations for eons to come. Assuming your organization has any real reach, that is.” Atomic watched as Kael shifted awkwardly trying to hide his outrage. ”Mr. Adam, we are entirely…” Ambassador Serina was cut short by a violent tremor to the platform they were standing on. The shock threw all three of them, in the haze of confusion Atomic noticed something on Serina’s face that threw him on a journey of recollection. It hit him, the familiarity he picked up on earlier, like riding a teleportortois through a memory field, his mind spiraled through, past and into instances of his past…
Eyeke was perfect that day, the suns were balanced, the clouds multi colored and multi layered, the beings of the planet going about their cycles with a peace about them that could only be found on this planet. Max was busy cracking open the first keg of their fungi brew, whilst Adam was busy prepping ingredients for their next experimental brew. They had lengthy discussion when it came to the proper ways to harvest the local flora, their debates would often last a whole 2 kegs. On this beautiful day, they chose to break out a special brew to celebrate the beauty of the day and the peace they had secured for this planet, for Eyeke had seen unstable times and it was through the efforts of these two that peace once again had a home. On this day the festive fungi brew was called for, an experiment that went wildly right, a brew made from select mushrooms and mosses only found in near inaccessible locations on Eyeke, they had spent moons (months) in the mountains and on the rocky coastlines gathering the ingredients, a genuine labor of love after having “tested” the first batch.
They had originally been approached by the monks who could not maintain the peace that had previously come so naturally among the beings. Atomic had spent a fair amount of time with the monks learning their ways, when he was not busy solving the peace problem.
Atomic quickly caught his balance and reached out to steady his co-operators, the platform was still reverberating from the shock, Kael was shouting orders through his coms, Selina was scanning the other platform. He took a moment more to get his balance and bearing, he needed to know what was going on down below, he also needed to ensure the conclusion of this new alliance… Does he go insect the chaos in the streets? Does he help the Ambassador and Commander to safety?
